The idea of "catching clouds" originated from the teenager who chased the light. Originating from a beginner in painting, my father asked me to copy Rembrandt’s self-portraits. He said that Rembrandt’s light was very charming. From then on, I became a teenager who chased the light. At that time, where there is light, there will be me running on the road.

 On the way I was running, I found light everywhere among the white clouds. Therefore, I put down my paintbrush and started to capture in the white clouds, chasing the light. In order to climb high and catch clouds, I lived in Huangshan for ten years.

After ten years of catching the cloud, I went from nothing, to the room of white clouds, to the unity of the cloud and me, to the return of all laws to the cloud. This process is lively and interesting, and I am happy everywhere.

Human life is a process from nothing to many things.

In the past ten years of capturing white clouds, I have used white clouds as a canvas, catching a net as a brush, and life is like color and color, creating art in time. Returning to nature and flying, I am really happy, and there is a poem: I am alone in this life to capture the sky joyfully, and there are many white clouds. They have different colors. Capturing white clouds for ten years is like a practice, and they will practice happily for the rest of their lives.

I have been studying art since I was a child, I have studied art with a teacher, and have worked diligently for more than 30 years. When I was forty-five years old, I suddenly realized it, so I started the profession of capturing Baiyun, which is unprecedented in China. After many years of thinking and preparation, I decided to climb the summit of Huangshan on foot on September 9, 2010, and capture the white clouds in the sea of clouds. This day is the beginning of cloud capture notes.

I think humans have always looked up at Baiyun, and they always feel that Baiyun is far away from us, so most people don't know much about Baiyun.

I tirelessly climbed to the summit of Huangshan, in the sea of clouds. Capture white clouds, interact with white clouds, harvest clouds, collect white clouds and bring them to the bottom of the mountain to grow white clouds It has been ten years now, and I have gained a lot.

 

In order to keep catching clouds in Huangshan and save the white clouds, I spent a lot of money in Huangshan Youhuang to transform a house. I called this house the Cangyun Pavilion

Now the white clouds I have captured have filled the room. I was invited to capture clouds around the world in 2015. Now I am collecting the white clouds I have captured all over the world at the foot of Huangshan Mountain.

This year, due to the epidemic, the three solo exhibitions on "The Decade of Catching Clouds" originally planned in Huangshan, Beijing, and the United States have been put on hold. Although the situation has been changing, I am still on the road of catching clouds and chasing light. .

Looking from a distance, this mountain with open hands soaring into the clouds is like a lotus in full bloom. The huge rocks in the Grand Canyon are like galloping horses, quiet deep pools, and clear waterfalls; the singing of birds is coming and going, the seasons are vibrant, and the flowers bloom unbeaten. It is embraced by a sea of ​​bamboo forests. Because of this, I named this small village "Youhuangli".
